Best Morning Practices To Preach

By September 18, 2018No Comments

Like many others, you must be starting your Best Morning by hitting the snooze button, dragging yourself out of bed at the last minute, rushing to get ready, and then running out the door with a toast in one hand and briefcase in the other. The way we start our day has a great impact on the rest of the hours during the day.

In this blog, we will learn about certain habits which we can discontinue and a few that we should incorporate in our morning schedule to make the best out of the day.

Avoid the cereal for breakfast

Our breakfast cereals such as muesli, cornflakes, paratha’s, and toasts are packed with sugars and carbohydrates with little protein. They are easy to make and taste delicious but will leave you hungry soon due to the crash that you experience in your blood sugar levels soon after. So, instead of a breakfast high in carbs and sugars, one should go for a more nutrient-dense meal. If you’re among people who don’t have a lot of time in the morning to cook and choose an easy to prepare the meal, then fruits can be your best friend. They help beat the sugar cravings and when blended along with a scoop of whey protein it makes a complete meal full of goodness which is amazingly easy to make. Add in almond or coconut milk to boost the healthy fat content and it also helps you stay fuller for longer.  Also, eggs can possibly be the best breakfast option to have in this world. If you follow me closely then you know that I start my day with eggs daily?

Breakfast is the most important meal “NOT TRUE”:

A lot of people believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and for some it is. However, many of us don’t prefer eating in the morning and it is completely okay to not force yourself into eating breakfast if you don’t want to. There are lots of myths flying around like, “if you don’t eat breakfast you’re likely to be fatter or if you wish to live longer don’t skip your breakfast”. But they are all partially true. Not everybody is a morning person and such people can go for intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting has a lot of benefits like weight loss, controlling blood sugar, reducing appetite, maintaining heart health. As long as you’re getting all the nutrition that’s needed, you’re on point. ( Pic courtesy by google)

Working out in the morning:

Morning workouts help to get the blood pumping which increases the energy levels of your body. Working out in the morning helps boost metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day. It also helps to increase productivity and increases concentration so you get better at work. Try to finish most of your tasks for the next day during the night and keep your workout clothes ready for the morning. This saves a lot of time. Also, it is scientifically proven that working out twice a day increases the testosterone levels.

Eating left over’s from last night

This is the most common mistake that everyone does. Eating left over’s and desserts for breakfast is the biggest sin anyone can do. Breakfast should be a perfect mix of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. Eating anything that was ordered last night will leave you hungry for the rest of the day and will promote weight gain. What sounds healthier, a banana pie and a roll or Eggs with milk and toast.

Morning Latte

Sipping on your coffee the first thing in the morning feels good. But when your daily drink contains heaps of sugar, syrups, and fancy creams it is also loaded with so many hidden calories and most of which comes from processed sugars and you don’t even realize it. The preservatives leave you feeling hungry because you consumed so many empty calories.

Instead of the fancy empty calorie coffee, consider bulletproof coffee. Black coffee is mixed with unsalted butter and MCT oil or unflavored coconut oil. The healthy fats present in bulletproof coffee make you feel fuller for a longer period of time and also provide you that energy boost you require in the morning. You consume calories but the ones that actually make you full and more productive.
