TOP 5 ENERGY BOOSTERS YOU NEED THIS SUMMER

Summers in India are harsh and blazing. Just 20 minutes out in sun can drain out your energy and staying productive and focused all day long can be a struggle. While we are low on energy the only option we think we have is to load up on caffeine. How many cups of coffee do you need to stay focused? 2, 6 or more? And how do you end up feeling throughout the day? Anxious? Dehydrated? More stressed?

Luckily, that’s not the only option you have! You can boost your energy in this summer by changing your diet and making other small changes to stay energized.

Here are 5 ways to Boost Your Energy all day long without coffee.

1. TAKE A COLD SHOWER

Do you have a hard time getting up in the morning? Jump in the shower. Even if it sounds like a difficult task to do, there are many scientifically proven benefits of cold showers.

Start with showering with hot water until you are warm. Then start to lower the water temperature gradually. Repeat and do as many cycles as you want, just make sure to end with cold water.

Contrast showers are perfect for getting your blood pumping and strengthening your immune system.

2. INHALE ESSENTIAL OILS

Essential oils are very beneficial for your health. If you are looking to boost your energy without coffee, hold a bottle of essential oil under your nose and inhale. Lemon oil is a good choice for refreshing. Put a few drops of peppermint oil on your hands, cup them, and breathe deeply. You can also massage your neck with peppermint oil — it’s guaranteed to charge you up!

3. EAT SEVERAL SMALL MEALS THROUGHOUT THE DAY

Have you ever thought about why you feel sleepy suddenly after eating a heavy meal?

That’s because your body gets busy in digesting. This lead to an increase in blood flow blood to the digestive system, which means that there is less oxygen available to the brain. This reduced supply results in fatigue. Therefore, you should eat small meals 5-6 throughout the day. That way your body has an adequate supply of energy without the overload.

4. DRINK THE RIGHT THING (IN THE MORNING)

Is a cup of black coffee your top priority in the morning to get going? If you want to stop drinking caffeinated beverages from now on (because it is bad for your digestion), then you should drink a glass of water as soon as you get up in the morning. You can add a slice of lime as well. Drink at least 3-4 liters of water in a day. Dehydration can lead to headaches as well as fatigue.

5. STAY ACTIVE

Exercise can really perk you up!  And we’re not talking about running a marathon every morning. A few bodyweight exercises from our HIIT Lean and AbAttack can get your blood pumping and help you start your day off strong. And obviously, you will think twice before eating something unhealthy so that’s a bonus point.
